The 2006 TAPP officers and board members are pleased to announce the
availability of the Ford F. Challis Memorial Award. Mr. Challis was a very
enthusiastic and active chapter member and strong advocate for education. The
award criteria are listed below and all eligible TAPP members are encouraged to
apply.

1.No current elected official of TAPP is eligible. All other members are
eligible to include former office holders.

2. There is a two-month window of opportunity to apply. (The deadline
for application submittal is April 30, 2006.)

3. Those desiring to apply must send a letter of interest to the TAPP post
office box (P.O. Box 513, Austin, TX 78767.) The letter should include
subjects such as financial need, purchasing goals, certifications held or
sought, participation in TAPP, qualifications, and anything else the
applicant deems relevant.

4. TAPP board members shall review the letters of interest for eligibility.

5. An award shall be made after review and vote of the TAPP board.

6. The award stipend shall remain in effect to the end of the current TAPP
year. It shall be in the form of a $100.00 credit toward any TAPP
sponsored seminar. A credit will be applied to the appropriate entity in
the name of the awardee.

7. Unused credits expire December 31 of each year.
