Subject: The customer's expectations of the purchasing department.

Many thanks to last year's officers, board members, committee chairs and the membership for all of the hard work making 2010 one of the best years in the history of TAPP. With revenue short falls, budget cuts and program cuts for all government bodies, funds for training and education have been in very short supply. Membership was at its highest level in many years, revenue was up, and expenses were down for a very good year.

The challenges for 2011 are great and your newly elected offices and board members along with appointed committees will need lots of help from all members in order to continue our progress.

As TAPP members, we sometimes lose sight of our Mission.

Mission:

Develop, support and promote the public procurement profession through premier educational and research programs, professional support, and advocacy initiatives that benefit members and constituents.

Therefore in 2011, our renewed Mission will be to develop, support and promote the public procurement professional with educational classes and informative presentations at each general meeting.
